Swimming Lessons

The Andes Town Pool offers Swim lessons to children ages 6 months - 17 years for free! Children will learn to swim with our certified Water Safety Instructors along with their teaching aids. Lessons are offered from July 6th to August 12th Mon-Fri. Children will be assigned to 30 minute group lessons during our 10 am - 12 pm lesson period. Parents or guardians may sign up their children by calling (845) 676-4703 during pool hours.

Water Safety

Infants (6 Months - about 4 yrs)

At Swim Lessons, babies and toddlers will learn to get used to the water. Lessons will typically begin in the baby pool and the instructor may bring the child in the big pool if the parent is comfortable with this. This level focuses on allowing the child to become comfortable in the water in order to get them ready for Pre-School Aquatics and independent swimming

Pre-school Aquatics Levels 1-3

The goal of these levels is to get the children comfortable and confident in the water. Swimmers in these levels will learn basic skills such as bobbing, gliding, and the basic leg and arm patterns.

Learn to Swim Levels 1 - 6

The goal of these levels is to help the student become a proficient swimmer. In order to progress a child must show adequate skills to pass to the next level.

Swimmers in every level will learn important water safety tips. These lessons help children learnhow to have fun but also be safe around the water. You can learn more about water safety by clicking this link.
